Diamond Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is sometimes known as skin resurfacing or mechanical exfoliation. The procedure involves the use of a special peeling machine with diamond tips, which is placed on the face, neck, bust, or any other part of your body where you feel it’s needed. The machine removes dead skin cells and stimulates regeneration, and the growth of new collagen and elastin.

This will give your skin a new lease of healthy life, and is also highly effective at treating a number of other skin complaints. This treatment helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone, leaving you with a smoother, brighter complexion..

Hydro Microdermabrasion

Our Diamond Hydro Microdermabrasion treatment is an advanced version of the traditional microdermabrasion treatment where it uses the hydro technique to further penetrate and hydrate your skin. As its name suggests, hydradermabrasion uses the power of water and oxygen to gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin. It consists of cleansing, exfoliation or T-zone intensive care, and hydrating the skin. Hydradermabrasion is a safe and effective treatment for every skin type and can address a range of concerns.

It’s also a gentle and effective way to exfoliate and deeply hydrate your skin. This advanced technology uses a combination of hydrating skin mask and microdermabrasion to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and infuse your skin with antioxidants and hydration, as well as the benefits of microdermabrasion.

Benefits of our Microdermabrasion Treatment

Microdermabrasion offers a non-invasive solution for achieving smoother, healthier-looking skin. This treatment gently exfoliates the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of scars, blemishes, and discoloration caused by acne or sun damage. By stimulating collagen production, microdermabrasion also enhances skin texture, firmness, and elasticity, promoting a more youthful appearance. In addition to improving skin tone and texture, it rejuvenates the complexion, leaving your skin looking refreshed and revitalized. With regular treatments, microdermabrasion can help prevent future scarring and blemishes, making it an effective option for long-term skin health.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQs

Microdermabrasion may not completely eliminate acne, as it is often linked to internal hormones, diet and other internal and external factors.

However, it can help address one of the most challenging aspects of acne—the scarring, blemishes, and marks that can affect self-confidence. Microdermabrasion can improve the appearance of acne scars and, with consistent treatments, may also help prevent the formation of new marks by speeding up the skin’s healing process. While it won’t fully remove acne, it can significantly reduce its appearance and, when combined with the right acne treatment, potentially help eliminate scars altogether.

Absolutely, microdermabrasion is highly effective for reducing and even removing marks and scarring from your face and other areas of the body. With multiple sessions, it can help promote youthful, rejuvenated skin. However, if you have long-term skin conditions like melasma or other forms of hyperpigmentation, microdermabrasion can significantly improve their appearance and aid in skin regeneration. While it is not a cure for these conditions, it can certainly help diminish their visibility with consistent treatments.

It can take up to 2-3 weeks to see the full results of microdermabrasion. Right after the treatment, your skin may appear reddish, and you might experience some tenderness or mild scarring from the initial session. We recommend keeping the skin clean and free from contaminants for at least 12 hours post-treatment.

The resurfacing and healing process begins immediately after treatment, with noticeable improvements typically visible within a week. Depending on the extent of scarring or the area treated, you may notice significant results after just one session. Immediately following treatment, your skin will look brighter, feel firmer, and appear more youthful. While you can see improvements after the first session, multiple treatments are often needed to achieve the best and optimal results.

We recommend waiting until the day after the treatment to apply makeup. A restful night’s sleep can help your skin settle and recover overnight. It’s essential to keep your skin clean and free from contaminants. After 8 to 12 hours, you should be able to apply makeup as usual without any concerns.

Microdermabrasion requires minimal to no downtime. After the treatment, we recommend avoiding hot showers, and if you do shower, keep your face away from the water. This is because we often apply creams and serums post-treatment that should remain on your skin for 8-12 hours to maximize their effectiveness. For the first 8 to 12 hours, and ideally overnight, please avoid the following:

  • Applying makeup for the first 24 hours; however, if you leave your skin undisturbed overnight, makeup can be applied the following day.
  • Avoid touching your skin as much as possible.
  • Using any additional creams unless specifically recommended by your practitioner.
  • Hot showers (or at least avoid direct contact with hot water on your face).
  • Exposure to high temperatures; keep your skin cool whenever possible.
  • Ensure you get a good night’s rest for optimal recovery.

The day after your treatment, you can return to your regular activities with no further downtime required.

The number of treatments required will depend on the severity of the areas you wish to treat.

After your initial consultation, our practitioner will recommend the optimal number of sessions to achieve the best results. However, as a general guide, you can expect to see noticeable improvements after 1-2 sessions, particularly for mild scarring or concerns. For more severe scarring, or for older or darker marks, 6-8 sessions are typically recommended.

These treatments are usually scheduled 2-3 weeks apart to allow the skin time to recover between sessions. After completing the recommended number of sessions, maintenance treatments every 2-3 months may be necessary to sustain the results.

No, microdermabrasion is not painful, although you may experience mild discomfort during the treatment. If you have very sensitive skin, the sensation may be slightly more noticeable, but it is still generally mild. We perform hundreds of microdermabrasion treatments, and it is considered a relatively pain-free procedure.
